Aucklanders want to cap the number of off-licence liquor outlets in their region with 91% wanting no more (or fewer) alcohol outlets.  Auckland Regional Public Health commissioned a professional survey of 800 Aucklanders, which found strong support for a cap and several other measures to curb alcohol related harm by restricting hours and locations where alcohol can be sold.

We encourage all Aucklanders to make a submission on the Local Alcohol Policy to ensure these strong public views are well-represented to the Council. A submission guide and templates are available at www.ahw.org.nz.
