“E rere kau mai te awa nui mai te kahui maunga ki Tangaroa. Ko au te awa, ko te awa ko au”
Born and bred on the banks of the Whanganui River, the most important thing in my world is my whanau. My daughter Te Ata Hapara is just starting kura and her baby brother Rongotai is at the kura of hard knocks (learning how to walk). Together with my partner Romaine Rahui we raise our tamariki in Whanganui.

I have been in the role of co-ordinator for almost 6 years now, and I’m still not bored with it yet. My drive is to see my own people in particular find their Rangatiratanga, their own self-determination. To see our people become the architects of their own futures.
