CAYAD - East Coast is provided by Te Whare Hauora o Te Aitanga a Hauiti and Te Aroha Kanarahi Trust.

Te kaupapa o Te Whare Hauora o Te Aitanga a Hauiti:

“Ko nga tini whetu ki te rangi, ko Whakapaupakihi ki te moana, ko Hauiti ki te whenua”
“As the net of Hauiti, we embrace the wellbeing of our people”

This kaupapa refers to the story of Hauiti and his brothers Taua and Mahaki-Ewe-Karoro whose descendants inhabit much of the East Coast region and therefore Te Aitanga a Hauiti Hauora embraces the wellbeing of our region.

CAYAD Service: The East Coast CAYAD services were established in 2004, and operate across 3 sites on the East Coast; south based in Uawa (Tolaga Bay), central based in Ruatoria and north based in Wharekahika (Hicks Bay).
